St. Francis Community Services’ bilingual youth programs at Southside Center continue to grow. This past March, Southside kicked off a brand new youth soccer initiative. Mariella, a mother of five, was thrilled when she heard about it and enrolled her children because they needed positive after-school activities. She drives them all the way from North St. Louis County for every soccer session because her children are having fun, meeting new friends, and learning life skills. Soccer; along with the other after-school activities at Southside such as tutoring, homework assistance, and music; are thriving as they make up the only fully bilingual youth program in the area.
A special thanks to The Tilles Foundation, who’s generous funding helps make the success of our youth programs possible!
