St. Francis Helps New Momma

Earlier this year, one of our clients went into labor several weeks early. Her baby was born almost three months premature and spent many weeks in the NICU. Our long-term case management program, Pathways to Progress, assisted this single mother by providing gas cards for her to get to and from the hospital to spend precious time with her brand new baby girl.

Since our mother was not working yet, a partner agency paid an electric bill on the family’s behalf during this time. When her baby finally arrived home, the mom mentioned to her Member Advisor that she was struggling to safely change the baby on her bed — the only place available. So, our agency not only provided her with a secure changing table but also beautiful bedding and baby girl clothes.

At St. Francis, we continue to walk with this family to provide support and connections to resources as they grow together. ❤
