St. Francis Community Service empowers multicultural individuals and families to improve their lives.
The Pathways to Progress team was given the opportunity to send our members and their families to a Cardinal’s game. This child was celebrating a birthday that day. He was so excited to throw the first pitch. Mom and other families members were also afforded the opportunity to view the game and enjoy endless hot dogs, nachos, pretzels, hamburgers, and other deserts in the suite. They enjoyed eating and socializing with other Catholic Charities staff. They continually thanked us for giving them this opportunity.
Moments like these are more than just fun outings, they’re reminders of dignity, belonging, and joy for families who are often navigating challenging seasons. When children get to experience something extraordinary, like throwing the first pitch at a Cardinals game, it creates lasting memories and strengthens bonds. For parents, being seen, celebrated, and welcomed into joyful spaces speaks volumes. These experiences are made possible because of a community that believes every family deserves moments of delight and connection.
