When a natural disaster strikes, SFCS collaborates with Catholic Charities and other local and national organizations to provide disaster relief in our community. Our focus is typically on long-term recovery processes such as housing, relocation, and case management, as families impacted by disaster often face a long road in returning their lives to normal.

SFCS has worked to provide relief in our community during times of need such as the 2011 tornadoes in Joplin and North St. Louis County, St. Charles County flooding in 2014, historic St. Louis area flooding in December 2015 and May 2017, and the Perry County tornado of March 2017.

Case managers with SFCS work with clients who have been impacted by natural disaster on a long-term basis, collaborating within a framework of community resources, to restore lost assets.

Depending on available resources, SFCS may serve residents in the following Missouri counties impacted by disaster:

  • St. Louis City
  • St. Louis County
  • St. Charles County
  • Franklin County
  • Jefferson County
  • Lincoln County
  • Ste. Genevieve County
  • St. Francois County
  • Perry County
  • Warren County
  • Washington County
